Facility Engineer

Job Objective

To ensure the optimal operation, maintenance, and repair of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems within RAK Properties’ facilities. The Facility Engineer will oversee the technical aspects of facility management, ensuring that all MEP systems are running efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • 1. MEP System Management: - Oversee and maintain the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, lighting, power distribution, and water supply within RAK Properties. - Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure all systems are operating efficiently. - Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to MEP systems, coordinating repairs or replacements as necessary.
  • 2. Facility Operations: - Manage day-to-day facility operations at RAK Properties, ensuring all building services and systems are functioning optimally. - Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance tasks. - Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and local regulations.
  • 3. Energy Management: - Monitor and optimize energy consumption within the RAK Properties facilities. - Implement energy-saving initiatives and recommend improvements to reduce operational costs.
  • 4. Project Management: - Participate in planning and executing facility upgrades, renovations, or new installations related to MEP systems at RAK Properties. - Prepare and manage budgets for maintenance and project work.
  • 5. Documentation & Reporting: - Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs. - Provide regular reports on the status of MEP systems, including any issues or risks.

Working Conditions

  • Based at RAK Properties, with occasional travel to other facilities as required.
  • May require on-call availability for emergencies.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Department Head.

Requisite Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering.

Experience Requirement

  • 5-7 years of experience in facility management with a focus on MEP systems.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

  • UAE light motor driving license
